The streak of triple-doubles ended in five consecutive games for Nikola Jokic, but the result did not change: another opponent, another great personal display and another victory for the Nuggets.
Denver managed to emerge victorious from facing the Los Angeles Lakers at home, winning by 25 points (102-127) as a visitor. After this result, the Nuggets are now fifth in the West at 9-6.
The Joker was particularly impressive for Mike Malone’s team, finishing with 34 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists, coming close to a triple-double. Nine of Nikola Jokic’s points came in the third quarter, in which Denver scored 37 points to close out the game.
Another great night for Giannis
Giannis Antetokounmpo continues to play like a dominant superstar, extending Milwaukee’s home record to 7-3. The Greek Freak was huge and managed to lead the Bucks to a 125-119 victory in front of their fans, beating the Charlotte Hornets.
Number 34 finished with a massive double-double of 32 points and 11 rebounds, dishing out 6 assists. He shot 12/23 from the field and 7/10 from the free throw line. For Charlotte, Tidjane Salaun had 6 points and 2 rebounds off the bench, while Vasilije Micic finished scoreless in just eight minutes of playing time.
It was also a big night for Franz Wagner, who flirted with a triple-double in a 111-100 home win against Detroit. The talented 23-year-old German added 30 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists with 11/22 shooting from the field, which helped Orlando win. His brother Moritz added 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists.
