An opulent penthouse with a view Madison Square Park Just out on the market, it’s decked out with stylish offerings from the latest fashion icon, Gianni Versacereported Forbes. Stately New York City duplex is currently listed for 10 million dollars. You don’t really have to stick with the couture sofas, chairs, tables, and pillows inside. Although, you’d be crazy not to.
A penthouse with Gianni Versace furniture
The 3,500-square-foot residence is perched on top of a NoMad boutique condominium and consists of four bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms.
In addition, there is an additional 1,200 square feet of outdoor space divided between two terraces. In addition to the ornate Versace furniture, which the previous owner acquired at Sotheby’s auction after the designer’s death in 1997, the maximalist abode has herringbone wood floors and expansive walls of windows. There are also animal prints and gold details galore, which is to be expected.
“The owner was a Versace obsessor, that’s how we initially met,” broker Andrew Pritchard of The Agency told Forbes.
“I came to the department to sell your collection for RealReal. She had recently passed away and her brother, Robert, the current owner, inherited the apartment and all its contents. After Gianni Versace was assassinated and almost all of her estate was auctioned off, she bought it at Sotheby’s. She even had them checked over the phone to verify their provenance.”
As you step down the private, keyed elevator, a gallery room opens to the decorative great room that has its own 364-square-foot balcony and intricate decorations. Nearby, the eat-in kitchen adds to the drama with a layout that can accommodate anywhere from two to 12 people.
The upper level contains the majestic master suite, complete with an 80-foot wrap-around terrace with jaw-dropping views that stretch to the Flatiron Building, One World Trade, and beyond.
In addition, it has an en-suite bathroom and a generously sized walk-in closet. Also on this floor is a second bedroom that can be converted into an office, gym, nursery, or whatever type of space you choose. Aaron Seawood and Andrew Pritchard of the Agency are holding this property for sale together.
