That Gianni Morandi had a big heart it was already known, but it is always good – especially in this period – to witness gestures of solidarity, carried out with simplicity. And maybe that’s why the news of the singer does it visit to the Popular Kitchens of Bologna to make himself available to people in need he made the rounds of websites and newsletters.
“We’re here and we’re happy to be able to help, but we’re not doing anything heroic. We are pleased to be here ”, Morandi told the local TV channel – Rete 7.
Gianni he responded willingly to the invitation of Roberto Morgantini, a philanthropist who started the soup kitchen with the money raised for his wedding list. With a face mask and white gloves, the singer immediately went to work distributing takeaway meals for people in need in view of Christmas.
A Christmas that will be different from the others, more subdued for everyone. But that even more should bring us closer to the true values of this holiday and therefore remind us how important it is to think of others, especially the less fortunate people.
“We are trying to be a little close to these people who they are truly alone. This year even more ”, added the singer during the interview, also focusing on the sacrifices that we are all called to make.
In the face of the common good, however, every recrimination should be put aside, as well as sterile polemics. All the more so these days it is important to remain united, in a metaphorical and spiritual sense, to get out of the pandemic as a people and not as individuals.

“The first thing to do is fight Covid. It will be a different Christmas in which you will not be able to reunite with family members and will stay at a distance, but that’s okay. Baby Jesus will forgive us. We will have other moments to be all together ”, added Gianni Morandi, not hiding a certain melancholy, but with absolute decision.
The singer, who just a few days ago turned 76 years old, will spend these holidays like all Italians, at home and with its family unit. Waiting for better times and new occasions to celebrate.
