Gianni Infantino plans football revolution after Coronavirus

Fifa and the World Health Organization (WHO) are launching a joint education campaign to combat the coronavirus, in which well-known football players around the world call for five steps to be taken to prevent the virus from spreading further.

The campaign against the virus comprises five important steps that can be taken to protect yourself according to WHO guidelines: wash your hands, behave correctly when coughing, do not touch your face, keep your distance physically and stay at home if you feel unwell.

“Fifa and its President Gianni Infantino have been spreading the message against this pandemic from the start,” said WHO Director General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus. «I am very happy that world football supports WHO in the fight against the virus. So we will win this fight. »

FIFA President Gianni Infantino: “FIFA supports WHO because health is a top priority. I call on the football community worldwide to join this campaign and spread the message even more widely. Some of the biggest players in football are involved in the campaign to fight COVID-19 together with this message. »

28 stars, including Alisson Becker, Gigi Buffon, Philipp Lahm, Gary Lineker, Lionel Messi and Carles Puyol, supported the Fifa video campaign in 13 languages.

FIFA also donates $ 10 million to the WHO Coronavirus Solidarity Fund. (abö)
