“Recovery and control” is the strategy of the new president of Guatemala, Alejandro Giammattei, to combat violence in the country. The president announced Friday the imposition of a state of prevention in two municipalities near Guatemala City to fight gangs, extortion groups, hired killers and common crime. One of the affected municipalities is Mixco. Its mayor, Neto Bran, speaks in Conclusions about this new measure.
