The movement returned to San Rafael Theater Thursday night, when the musical “Ghost, the shadow of love” It resumed functions after three months of inactivity, due to the second closure declared on December 19, 2020 by the red light in Mexico City, the same week it was released.
“Actually the official premiere will not be until we have 100% occupancy, so all we are going to do right now is previews, but since we premiered in December so today is the ‘re-premiere’ of a play that is going to be presented for a long time, until we have a full theater, let’s see when this is going to be, it will take time, but the important thing is that we are coming back to life, hopefully this is the good one and from here we get back on track “, said the producer Morris Gilbert.
For the first time in 90 days there was a red carpet in the San Rafael, through which Lola and Laura Cortés paraded, Violeta Isfel, Michelle Rodríguez, the producers Alejandro Gou and Guillermo Wiechers, Pedro Prieto, Kika Edgar, to name a few.
The maker of projects such as Knock Knock and Perfect Strangers, explained that it was very exciting for the entire production to return to the theater, step back onto the stage and relive everything that being there implies, after a second closing that led to a three-hour break. months that became eternal.

Gilbert explained that resuming “Ghost” took the cast a week of rehearsals, because the play was already assembled and understood by everyone, but it was necessary to review to refresh what had already been learned and get back on track.
As happened on December 16 of last year, the cast of “Ghost”, led by Agustín Argüello, Daiana Liparoti, Alex Brizuela and Lorena de la Garza, returned to move the public with this love story, where the protagonists Sam and Molly will demonstrate that true love transcends even death. At the end, the audience gave them a prolonged applause, for the professionalism and energy they put on stage, but de la Garza was applauded for her fun and brazen interpretation of the medium Oda Mae.
Last year due to the arrival of Covid-19 in the country and the closing of the theaters as a precautionary measure to avoid contagion, the theater community had to miss one of the strongest dates for its billboard, the Easter week, so this year Morris Gilbert hopes that people will go to the theater.
“I hope that all the people of the city, because I don’t think that people from the interior come, who were locked up all year and are desperate to get out, have the option of coming, even if we only have 30% of the authorized theater occupation, so I am sure that all the functions will be full because it is Holy Week ”.
That is why this week Best Theater It will have three premieres, last night was Ghost, the shadow of love, on Saturday Michelle Rodríguez’s virtual debut with the one-man show “More beautiful than none” and on Wednesday March 31st “Little big things”, with Mariana Garza as the protagonist on the stage of the Milan Theater; in addition to the return of “Toc Toc” to the Fernando Soler Theater that same day.
“We will have three theaters working next week, we did not want to risk more, because it is undoubtedly a risk.”
The producer assured that there is a good demand at the box office that, despite not running out of seats, there is movement and ticket sales, but due to the conditions in which they return to give functions, even with an orange traffic light, they must plan weekly .
“I am optimistic that I will be able to get on track this season, I love long seasons, so I want to spend a long time, but right now you have to be very cautious and they are asking us to go easy on all projects,” concluded Gilbert.
Also yesterday the producer uploaded to his Twitter account a photograph with Silvia Pinal, Sylvia Pasquel and Stephanie Salas, in a restaurant during a meal, from which Gilbert assures, great things are going to come out.
