The latest PS4 exclusive, Ghost of Tsushima, is also playable on the PS5 via backwards compatibility, but the game hasn’t actually received a real PS5 upgrade. This is a bit of a shame, but if you start the game on a PS5 console, you can certainly notice a big difference between the two consoles: a higher frame rate.
Ghost of Tsushima on the PS5 will automatically detect that you are playing the game on a PS5 and will run at 60 fps, even if you have not tapped the framerate mode in your menu. The PS4 version of the game, on the other hand, only runs at 30fps. Digital Foundry took a closer look at all versions of the game and discussed the smoother frame rate and what the PS5 hardware can mean for Ghost of Tsushima.
