The Vice President of the Free Patriotic Movement, Ghassan Khoury, wrote this evening, Saturday, in a post on his account on the “X” platform: “Beirut the First deserves to be represented in the Maronite seat by a Nayeb who respects its struggle and the minds of its children. A Nayeb who has transcended adolescence, coquetry, and ridiculousness. A Nayeb who reads history, gets tired of himself, and thinks a hundred times before.” He does not speak in order to avoid triviality.”
He added, “I don’t want a deputy to write a letter attacking the movement, so I feel that the Zaghtoor youth has grown up.”
He continued, “But he has not matured! Awareness is not about heredity. He forgot that Sheikh Bashir was martyred because of the 10,452 km. He forgot that the Quartet Alliance covered the situation in 2005 and they elected under his shadow. He forgot that no one except President Aoun issued a ruling on the accused of assassinating Al-Bashir. He who spent years imprisoned without trial forgot that.” He will be absent from Beirut for four years, and with all electoral entitlement, he will go back and jump from list to list begging for his seat. He forgot that the people of this region are electing him not because of his linguistic genius and achievements, but in the name of loyalty to the history of a leader who stood up and defended us!
He concluded, “Advice: Reduce the missing pedals that are costing you a great deal of money, and take advice from the people closest to you. Let it teach you how knowledge requires humility, and listen to it, because politics is thought, not speech, so it is gone!”
