The Koreans had the initiative throughout the game, attacked more and created many chances, but could not convert them in any way. But that worked out for Ghana: both goals in the first half were scored on the basis of the very first chances that arose.
After the break, Korea pushed further – and eventually scored, and twice, both times – after excellent crosses from the left. It looked like only the defeated opponent remained to finish – but the fantastic Ghana staged an attack in which he created his third scoring chance of the match – and converted that too!
The rest of the time, Korea was constantly attacking, but the African opponent stood like a wall. And when he gave a shot, the balls flew past or the Ghanaian goalkeeper Zygi performed feats. That’s how it all ended…
