GGD warns against scammers: ‘Accelerated vaccination for € 71.95’ | Inland

The GGD has already been called by several people who did not trust the business, but cannot say how many people have been ‘kicked in’. The GGD departments of Hollands Noorden and Brabant have been receiving reports of these money-grabbing phone calls since Monday.

It is also worrying that Team Thuiszorg has the dates of birth of the people who are called for the ‘accelerated vaccination’. As soon as people pay, they would be given the location where they could be injected. They will receive an app that says ‘Thank you for choosing to be vaccinated, as soon as the payment has been transferred you will receive a confirmation.’ Then the agreement would be final. It is then suggested that with this confirmation the amount can be claimed from the health insurer.

Linguistically, the message rattles from all sides. Not a tour de force. But that’s not the worst, ”says Harry Katstra of GGD Hollands Noorden. “It is especially very serious that this is happening. These scam artists are tackling an emotional market. Let me be clear: we are not calling for accelerated vaccination, because that is not the case. We also do not charge any money for the injection. Anyone can get it for free, as soon as stock is back. We call on victims to report this to the police and we also advise the people who check with us whether the story is correct. ”
