The GGD is investigating two students from the Bernardus van Bockxmeerschool in Hoorn for the possible infection with the Corona virus.

The GGD Hollands Noorden announced this on Monday. Two children from the Bernardus van Bockxmeerschool in Hoorn were sent home as a precaution – and with the consent of the parents. It is still unclear whether they come from the same family, or whether there is an investigation in several households.
Signals came in that there were fever symptoms. Then the GGD came into the picture, which then did further investigation. Family members of the children have the symptoms, have a fever and have recently been to an area where the Corona virus has already caused an outbreak.
The GGD is monitoring the situation and expects that it will be possible to determine within a very short period of time whether there is actually an infection in Hoorn.
