The Ministry of Health will hold a national campaign day in a few weeks. The GGD will then go into neighborhoods with injection boxes to provide information about vaccination against corona. Anyone who wants to can immediately have a shot. A spokesperson confirms this after reporting on NU.nl.
It is not yet clear how many injection boxes will come and where exactly they will go. The ministry is still discussing this with the GGDs, safety regions and municipalities. It is also yet to be determined which vaccine the buses will use. Janssen could be a logical choice, because it only needs to be pricked once.
The idea is to send the buses to districts where the vaccination readiness is low according to the RIVM. This concerns, for example, deprived neighbourhoods.
