For the third edition, the Bavarian gaming festival is moving from the north of Munich to the center: GG Bavaria 2025 will take place at the end of March.

After 2,000 visitors to the premiere in 2023 and 5,000 participants last year, the organizers of the GG Bavaria obviously have greater ambitions: with the Small Olympic Hall in Munich’s Olympic Park, the „Gaming-, Nerd- & Esports-Convention“ a new and more centrally located venue next year.

The Small Olympic Hall is not as ‘small’ as the name suggests: The building can accommodate more than 3,500 people at a time and is commonly used for concerts, musicals and sporting events. The new venue became necessary because Motorworld Munich had reached its capacity limits.

The GG Bavaria 2025 is divided into two parts: The specialist audience will meet for the business day on Friday (March 28, 2025) – workshops, lectures, panels and networking are planned. On the weekend (Saturday, March 29th + Sunday, March 30th) end consumers will get their money’s worth. Then regional publishers and indie studios present their new products; There is also a stage program with presentations, hands-on activities and competitions. The topics of cosplay, retro games, influencers and e-sports should also play a role again.

The organizer of GG Bavaria is the Medien Bayern division Games/Bavaria in cooperation with MYI Entertainment and the location initiative Games Bavaria Munich e. V. The format is once again financially supported by the Bavarian Digital Ministry, which is also responsible for promoting games in the Free State.

Advance ticket sales for GG Bavaria 2025 are scheduled to start shortly.
