Jason Miller, CEO of social media platform Gettr, released a statement Saturday about Twitter’s ability to prevent users from importing their tweets to Gettr.
Miller, a former senior adviser to Donald Trump, suggested that stopping such imports would make Twitter an “owner” of the content and thus a “responsible publisher of the content” on its platform.

Gettr launched on July 4, and the company claimed that more than a million users joined in its first three days.
