The Covid-19 pandemic has not yet subsided, other diseases have reportedly invaded Chinese citizens. Thousands of people in Lanzhou, are infected with a bacteria called Brucellosis.
According to the latest report, there are at least 3,245 Chinese citizens infected with Brucellosis. This disease is a bacterial infection that initially attacks livestock. However, this disease can also be transmitted to humans.
Launching the Mayo Clinic, Brucellosis is a bacterial infection that spreads from animals to humans. Most commonly, people can become infected from consuming raw or unpasteurized dairy products.
Sometimes, the bacteria that cause brucellosis can spread through the air or through direct contact with infected animals. Signs and symptoms of brucellosis include fever, joint pain, and fatigue.
Infections can usually be treated with antibiotics. However, treatment can take several weeks to months, and the infection can recur.

Brucellosis affects hundreds of thousands of people and animals worldwide. Avoiding raw dairy products and taking precautions when working with animals or in the laboratory can help prevent Brucellosis.
Symptoms of Brucellosis can appear any time from a few days to several months after you become infected. Signs and symptoms are similar to flu and include fever, chills, loss of appetite, fatigue, joint and muscle aches, and headaches.
Some people develop chronic brucellosis and experience symptoms for years, even after treatment. Long-term signs and symptoms may include fatigue, recurrent fever, arthritis, inflammation of the heart (endocarditis), and spondylitis, an inflammatory arthritis that affects the spine and surrounding joints.
Brucellosis can be difficult to identify, especially in its early stages, when it often mimics other conditions, such as the flu.
Therefore see your doctor if you have a rapidly rising fever, muscle aches, or other unusual weakness, or if you have persistent fever.
