Indonesiainside.id, Mataram – West Nusa Tenggara Province has again received additional stock of Pfizer or BNT162b2 vaccine to prevent infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes COVID-19 disease.

Head of Public Relations of the NTB Police, Senior Commissioner of Police Artanto in Mataram, said Monday that the vaccine, which was imported directly from Germany, amounted to 10 coli or equivalent to 7,215 vials.

“With this additional supply of vaccines, the NTB vaccine stock is safe. So, there is no longer any excuse for limiting vaccines,” said Artanto.

The vaccine to prevent COVID-19, a product of a collaboration between a German biotechnology company, BioNTech, and an American pharmaceutical company, Pfizer, enters NTB via Zainuddin Abdul Madjid International Airport (BIZAM), Central Lombok Regency.

Arriving in Lombok, explained Artanto, the NTB Regional Police provided strict escort and security by deploying NTB Satbrimobda personnel, from the airport to the destination location in the storage warehouse at the NTB Health Office, Mataram City.

Furthermore, Artanto said the distribution of this vaccine was still using the previous system. Each district / city will get a quota according to need.

The role of the vaccinator battalion team is still the mainstay of NTB to accelerate the increase in community vaccination achievements. The indicator, “herd immunity” can be built before the WorldSBK 2021 Mandalika event on 19-21 November.
