Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Ministry State Owned Enterprises (BUMN) under the command of the Minister of BUMN Erick Thohir is preparing a number of major corporate actions that will be executed next year.
This was explained by Deputy Minister of BUMN Kartika Wirjoatmodjo in the BUMN media talk webinar on the topic “Banking Support for the Economy in the Pandemic Period” which was held on Wednesday (2/12/2020).
“As a little leak for 2021, we plan to have 2-3 large corporate actions,” said Tiko, his nickname.
The first major corporate action was the integration of ultramicro financing under PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. This integration will also involve PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (Persero) and PT Pegadaian (Persero).
Second, the integration of three Islamic banks belonging to the Association of State-Owned Banks (Himbara), namely PT Bank BRISyariah Tbk, PT Bank Syariah Mandiri (BSM), and PT BNI Syariah.
“And we also have plans at Telkom to explore IPOs from Mitratel, the Telkom tower company,” said Tiko.
“So there are several corporate actions that are expected to also enliven the capital market which are expected to provide positive nuances to investors, both domestic and foreign investors,” he continued.
