Ministry of BUMN has mapped the condition of BUMN. In that mapping, as many 14 BUMN will be liquidated through the Asset Management Company (Persero) or PPA.
The Special Staff of the Minister of BUMN, Arya Sinulingga, explained that from a total of 108 BUMNs, 41 BUMN would be maintained and developed.
“In the future, 41 BUMNs will be maintained and developed,” he said in an online discussion, Monday (28/9/2020).
Then, as many as 34 BUMNs will be consolidated or merged. Furthermore, 19 BUMNs will be managed or included in PPA.
“That will be liquidated through PPA 14. This will make SOEs lean,” he said.
Regarding superholding, Arya said, if it is done, it must revise at least two laws. He also said that his party would see the need for the superholding establishment.
“So Pak Erick did say, so instead of talking about superhoding, we are currently strengthening the existing holding. Why? The goal is the supply chain. Once strong we will see if there is a need for superholding,” he said.
