“Getting delivered without exploiting”, Krokoop, a new delivery platform in Nîmes

An eco-friendly and respectful, virtuous bike delivery platform! Yes it’s possible. It is in any case the ambition of Quentin Idrac. He has just created Krokoop with two colleagues. It’s a company under associative status, very soon cooperative, and which wants to be local, more ethical than the major platforms such as Uber Eats, Just Eat or Deliveroo. Quentin knows these other platforms well, he has been working for them for several years, and he will continue until Krokoop becomes profitable. “We are a bicycle courier for uberized platforms. We saw the conditions gradually deteriorating, with increasingly strong competition, a very opaque remuneration system, explains the founder Quentin Idrac, on France Bleu Gard Lozère. Our goal: to reclaim our means of production. Make collective decisions, rather than undergoing an individualistic model

Krokoop presents itself as a “Nîmes delivery alternative. Socially ethical, and eco-responsible“. They roll to the maximum by bike, by cargo bike. Neither scooter, nor scooter, nor car.

Launch July 15

A cooperative of bicycle delivery people, which wants to be ethical, local and ecological. For the moment, six restaurants already trust the young people of Nîmes including Neko Maru, rue Jean Reboul.

“Get delivered without exploiting”, the slogan

Krokoop is following a trend that has already developed elsewhere, in Bordeaux or Montpellier, to offer customers and restaurants an alternative to large uberized platforms.

If you want to order on krokoop, you can download the coopcycle application (national federation which lists all alternative delivery associations in France) or go to the website www.krokoop.fr
