Ukrainians will be obliged to take all the cash they have accumulated to the bank and pay 5% tax on it. Moreover, you will have to pay, even if this money was accumulated from official income, from which all deductions have already been paid. Such a norm is contained in the bills on “tax amnesty”, which were developed by the head of the “Tax” Committee of the Verkhovna Rada Daniil Getmantsevwrites Judicial-legal newspaper.
“In our 30 years, unfortunately, a situation has developed in which citizens have accumulated funds without control,” the ideologist of the Hetmans’ draft laws commented on the innovation. And he explained that in this way the government gives people a chance to go “white” and end the practice of tax evasion.
At the same time, Getmantsev does not comment on why Ukrainians will be obliged to pay “tribute” to the state for legal funds – which, in fact, within the framework of the “tax amnesty” are equal to those earned in violation of the law. We are glad).
It will not be possible to avoid declaring: purchases in excess of UAH 50 thousand will require verification, that is, evidence that the money has been declared. As for the innovation, not only of cash, but also of assets – for them, however, they offer to pay already 9% of the cost. That is, if a person has an apartment, but he cannot prove that he bought it for legal means (for example, if the parents donated the money, but there are no documents), he will have to fork out.
An interesting point: MPs, including Getmantsev, and officials do not need to bring money to the bank and pay “tax”. And in vain, because on people like the author of the bill, the budget could make good money. So, in his declaration for 2020, Getmantsev indicated “cash” at 40 thousand euros, 35 thousand dollars and 287 thousand UAH. Getmantsev’s mother has 216 thousand dollars in cash, as well as 650 thousand dollars – their mother lent them to a third party (indicated in the declaration as “Merzhekh Rodrig Elias”). Also, the Getmantsev family owns a huge amount of real estate – apartments, residential buildings and land plots.
