Get Your Tinkoff Transaction Notifications Back with ‘By the way’ App

For Tinkoff customers and iPhone owners, there is a new way to return push notifications about transactions that stopped receiving after the bank’s application was removed from the App Store.

To do this, you must additionally install the “By the way” application – you can download it via this link.

There is no banking functionality inside, only articles, news and advice on abstract topics. But it is possible to log in using a phone number. The application, by the way, is official, which is confirmed by the bank’s technical support.

As soon as you log in to “By the way”, push notifications from Tinkoff will begin to arrive through it.

If you open such a notification, “By the way” will open, which will then redirect to the banking application installed on your smartphone – either Tinkoff or T-Bank. The latter is installed by bank representatives if there is none on the smartphone.

When you first open a notification from “By the way,” a request to confirm the transition will appear on the screen; in the future, the redirect will occur automatically.

Push notifications can also be implemented through the bank’s WebApp, but after a few days the notifications stop coming if the user does not log into the web application.
