On Saturday 15 and 29 April, 13 and 27 May and 10 and 24 June you can get an HPV and/or corona vaccination at Muziekschool MOZ-Art at Schubertstraat 50 in Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel. This temporary vaccination location of Hecht GGD Hollands Midden will then be open from 13.30 to 16.00. Making an appointment is not necessary. Don’t forget to bring a valid ID.
HPV vaccination
HPV vaccination will only be free in 2023 for young adults born between 1996 and 2003 who have not yet been (fully) vaccinated against the human papillomavirus. This virus can cause cancer of the mouth and throat, anus, penis, vagina, labia and cervix. For optimal protection, two injections are required with six months or more in between. Those who get the first shot before July 1 can also get the second shot for free in 2023. After 2023, the costs for HPV vaccination for this group will be for their own account.
Corona vaccination
Corona vaccinations are available from the age of 12. You can get jabs from the basic series at the temporary vaccination location in Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel if you have not been vaccinated against corona before. You can also get a corona repeat shot there. This is possible if you have completed the basic series and have not had a repeat injection after September 18, 2022
