Already fourth cruciate ligament tear
Last Sunday, Aline Danioth injured herself at the European Cup giant slalom in Sweden. It’s already the fourth cruciate ligament tear in the young career of the woman from Uri. It is synonymous with the premature end of the season.
It feels like a “nightmare,” wrote Danioth on Instagram. Despite numerous injuries, the 24-year-old never gave up and fought her way back to the top of the world again and again. Most recently, she was accompanied on her comeback.

Their fate does not leave fans and sports celebrities indifferent. She received consolation and encouragement in over 600 comments under her Instagram post, including from Roger Federer: “Get well soon and keep your head up,” writes the retired tennis star.
