Gadget – In recent years, the question has arisen how will people interact when all these “worlds” intersect? What equipment will humans need to be able to seamlessly move between locations? What if they don’t want to use a headset and are in a virtual world for eight hours a day – will they be excluded from some future projects or collaboration opportunities?
Dell try to answer all these questions with the technology they have. Armed with the results of innovation from the lab, Dell tries to offer what it calls Concept Nyx.
Dell Labs is equipped with a selection of demos and immersive concepts to aid in the testing and exploration process for answers to how Dell will be able to help humans intuitively move between different spaces and tasks in the future. From design Virtual Reality (VR) that is fully immersive to experience Mixed Reality (XR) that uses screens and other tools, which does not negate the use of VR headsets, all of these environments help companies develop concepts such as the Concept Nyx Companion.
The Nyx Companion concept, designed as a lightweight tablet-shaped device that can be viewed and accessed in VR and XR environments, can be a tool that is consistently used across all of these environments and can ensure all of a user’s content stays in one place even when they move from one environment to another. environment or from one task to another. Users no longer need to take photos of notes on whiteboards or copy them to upload to other environments, they can simply take screenshots of the project environment and/or copy content to share on multiple screens at once.
Used in conjunction with the Concept Nyx Stylus, one can create voice or written notes, then drag and drop (drag + drop) those notes into digital and virtual collaboration environments. Or even use the voice activation feature to create AI drawings – the perfect feature for someone with no artistic flair.
All of these tools could also be used together with Concept Nyx Spatial Input in a future desktop environment, with a keyboard and mouse, and possibly a 3D screen as well. Dell is constantly looking for creative ways to connect all of these traditional tools to create uncluttered spaces.
Additionally, Dell is also continuously pursuing intuitive gestures to interact with content – for example, using the tip of the Stylus to write and use the top to interact with content on the screen, or using Spatial Input as buttons to provide a 360° view or zoom in on specific details.
