THE EYES or as its trade name Operadora de Centros de Espectáculos is known, had a change in its administration after the announcement in 2019 that 51% of its shares would be put up for sale.

This decision was reported to the Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV) by Inter-American Entertainment Corporation (CIE), who until then was the majority owner of the company.

After several negotiations, in 2021, it was reported that the American company, Live Nation was made from the purchase of 51% of the shares of THE EYESwhich included the participation of Televisa for the 40% and the sale of 11%, property of CIE.

With this decision, the transaction by the sale was registered for 3,664 million pesos, of which CIE received 3,410 million pesos and 254 million pesos remained as “price withholding” to fund working capital needs for a specific period, the company reported.

The eye reported a drop in its earnings in its first quarter of 2023 despite carrying out a series of events with national and international artists such as Electric Daisy Carnival and Vive Latino in Mexico City, as well as the presentations of Def Leppard and Motley Crüe , Billie Eilish, Muse, Ricardo Arjona and Grupo Firme, who had presentations at the Foro Sol in Mexico City.

During this time, consolidated revenues reached 342 million pesos in comparison with the 374 million registered in the period of 2022.
