Di Maria took individual action in the Nantes penalty box and shot at goal from a tight angle that Alfont was able to push over. The ball threw up even about Nicolas Pallois’ hand.

The referee mercilessly awarded a penalty and sent off Pallois with a red card. Di Maria as the executor successfully beat Lafont to make the score 2-0.

Lafont also made another save in the 66th minute when a cross from the left found Juan Cuadrado who came up from behind. Cuadrado’s first-time shot was saved by Lanford.
