BUCHAREST – Captain Swiss National Team, Granit Xhaka, stated that La Nati – the nickname of the Swiss national team – can now dream in Indonesia Euro 2020. Xhaka et al’s confidence increased after making a surprise by getting rid of the World Cup champions, France, in the last 16.
Before the match, France was predicted to advance easily to the quarterfinals. Because, Les Bleus -the nickname of France – is superior to everything from the Swiss national team.
However, the magic of a tournament occurred in the match between the Swiss and French national teams which took place at the National Stadium, Bucharest, Romania, Tuesday (29/6/2021), early morning WIB. The Swiss national team made a miracle in that match.
The Swiss national team started the game well because they could lead 1-0 in the 15th minute through the action of Haris Seferovic. However, that advantage disappeared in the second half as Les Bleus were able to create three goals through the actions of Karim Benzema (57′ and 59′) and Paul Pogba (75′).

However, the Swiss national team made a miracle by equalizing before the game ended. Seferovic (81′) and Mario Gavranovic (90′) saved the Swiss national team with their late goals.
The match continued into extra time. However, no additional goals were scored so a penalty had to be awarded.
