jpnn.com – Xiaomi found a way to reduce the dimensions of its mobile phone with a breakthrough in battery size to be 10 percent smaller.
Through this breakthrough it allows the battery of Xiaomi devices to be denser at the same volume.
In addition, it effectively increases battery life by up to 100 minutes.
Xiaomi’s new generation battery uses a high-grade silicon lithium supplement technology using a three-fold increase in silicon content.
Much of the reduction in space required for a new battery also has to do with how the PCM (module or protection circuit board) is aligned.
Xiaomi says that the PCM is no longer flat, instead it sits at a 90 degree angle to the battery cell which saves quite a bit of space.
In addition, the battery is also equipped with a special fuel gauge chip, using self-developed algorithms and analyzing data to offer enhanced safety.
Charging behavior at night is also monitored to avoid long term full charge states and increase battery life.
