Next week there will be a lot of frost and that means: ice! Do you want to know whether your region is the right place to try skating? Then take a look below to see how the ice seems to be developing in your area.

How you do that is simple. First check which region of the Netherlands you live in exactly, so which of the nine cards applies to you. Here you can see how many centimeters of ice are expected to grow per night.

The dark blue line indicates the average growth and the light blue area shows the uncertainty of the expectation. The broader the light blue, the more uncertain the expectation.

And for the fanatics among us: it is only really safe to skate from a height of 6 centimeters.
