JAKARTA, JAMBIEKSPRES.CO.ID- Get ready starting February 1, 2023 Palm Oil Fuel (BBM) will be implemented.
The purpose of palm oil fuel is to blend biodiesel-type biofuel (BBN) with a 35 percent composition (B35) with diesel fuel.
Actually the implementation of the B35 should have been implemented as of January 1, 2023. However, it was ultimately rejected and only implemented as of February 1, 2023.
The application of blending B35 complies with the circular letter of the Director General of EBTKE with no. 10.E/EK.05/DJE/2022.
quoted Jambi Express from Instagram Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources on Friday (6/01) in this circular letter it is stated that the application of palm oil fuel is to increase the supply of clean energy in a sustainable way, one of which is a requirement for a biodiesel blend of 35% diesel or B35 from 1 February 2023.

Interesting facts about palm oil
Director of Bioenergy, Andriah Feby Misna at the strategic study organized by the Society of Renewable Energy and HIMATEK-ITB Strategic Studies Division last Saturday (7/3) quoted Jambi Express from esdm.go.id mentioned some interesting facts about oil palm.
FirstIndonesia has the largest oil palm plantations in the world with a total of more than 700 developed oil palm plantations across Indonesia.
The total area of oil palm is about 14.68 million hectares, of which 40% is owned by smallholders. According to 2017 data from the Ministry of Agriculture, the potential for palm oil development is 35 million tons of CPO, 146 million tons of FFB and 26.3 million tons of TBK. Most of Indonesia’s palm production is exported and generates a foreign exchange of over US$20 billion annually.
Second, The national production of palm oil in 2015 was 31.07 million tons, in 2016 it was 31.73 tons and continues to increase every year. In 2019, domestic palm oil production reached 42.87 million tons.
