JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto said that the cash assistance program for street vendors (PKL), stalls and fishermen will likely be liquidated this month.
This program is one of the front-loadingaka a program whose disbursement is accelerated by the government in early 2022.
“It is hoped that this February, this program (cash assistance for street vendorsstalls, and fishermen) can run,” said Airlangga at the PPKM press conference, Monday (21/2/2022).
The former minister of industry said that the program implementation rules would be completed soon. Currently, the Minister of Defense Regulation (Permenhan) that regulates the program has been issued, considering that the assistance is distributed by the TNI/Polri.
Currently, the implementation of the cash transfer program for street vendors, stalls and fishermen is just waiting for general guidelines from the National Police Chief.
“A special program for street vendors, stalls, and fishermen, yesterday the Minister of Defense has finished. Now it’s just a general guideline from the National Police Chief which is being prepared,” explained Airlangga.
For information, the amount of cash assistance for street vendors, stalls and fishermen reaches Rp 600,000 per recipient. The number of recipients targeted by the government is 2.76 million.

The recipients consist of 1 million street vendors, stall owners, and 1.76 million fishermen. This program is also given to address extreme poverty in Indonesia.
Not only that, the government has also continued several social assistance programs in the National Economic Recovery (PEN) program with a budget of Rp 414 trillion.
This social assistance consists of regular social assistance that is disbursed by the government every year as well as social assistance that is disbursed in the context of economic recovery during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Specifically for social assistance, the government has prepared funds of up to Rp. 154.76 trillion in the community protection cluster. The disbursed social assistance funds used the budget, namely PKH for 10 million KPM Rp. 28.7 trillion, Basic Food Cards for 18.8 million KPM Rp. 45.1 trillion, and Pre-Employment Cards of Rp. 11.0 trillion.
Then, the support for the Job Loss Guarantee Program of Rp. 5.6 trillion, Village BLT of Rp. 27.2 trillion, Expansion reserves of Rp. 36.16 trillion, and cash assistance for 10 million KPM of Rp. 12.02 trillion (Rp. 200 thousand/month for 6 months). ).

Then, PPKM basic food cards for 5.9 million KPM Rp 7.1 trillion (Rp 200,000/month for 6 months), internet quota assistance for 38.1 million students and educators Rp 8.1 trillion for 6 months, and Perlinmas reserves of Rp. 9.0 trillion.
