Creating a tradition, The third edition of the Cine Casual Film Series is being prepareda Latino film festival that brings the best of Latin American cinema to Charlotte and we tell you what you should know.
The festival presents six international feature films by Latino creators who have been awarded in different cycles and film festivals, as well as four original short films from Charlotte Latino creators during a shift of more than 15 days.
“Latin American cinema is daring and diverse, just like Charlotte. The region produces more than 600 feature films a year, yet it does not have enough distribution, it is difficult to see them in the United States and even more so in Charlotte. Perhaps this is Charlotte’s only opportunity to see the best of Latin American cinema.“,
says Giovanna Torres, founder of the festival.

When and where will the Cine Casual Film Series 2023 Latino film festival take place?
The third edition of the festival is scheduled to take place from August 25 to September 16 and most of the screenings will take place in Independent Picture Housebut there will be a special screening at the Mint Museum Uptown.
Simple access costs $10 and a pass with access to all movies will cost $55 y you can buy your tickets here.
