The 34th match day of the Bundesliga promises endless excitement: while Bayern and BVB will fight for the championship up to the last second, four teams will be fighting for relegation. We tell you where the last match day will be broadcast.
After eleven years it could be that time again: Borussia Dortmund is on the verge of their ninth championship after the 3-0 win in Augsburg. After FC Bayern surprisingly lost 3-1 to RB Leipzig last Saturday, BVB was able to overtake Munich in the table.
However, the last word has not yet been spoken: The final decision will be made in a final long-distance duel next Saturday. While BVB can play against Mainz 05 at home, FC Bayern has to go to 1. FC Köln. Should Bayern get three points, they would still have to hope for support from Mainz.
The fight for relegation is no less exciting. While Hertha BSC is the only relegated team so far, four teams are fighting to save themselves: FC Augsburg, VfB Stuttgart, VfL Bochum and FC Schalke 04. The Royal Blues, who have to travel to RB Leipzig, probably have the worst cards.
As if that wasn’t enough, everything is still open in the race for European places. While Union Berlin and SC Freiburg are battling it out for their first Champions League appearance in the club’s history, Leverkusen, Wolfsburg and Frankfurt are battling it out for sixth and seventh place. Pure excitement in all nine games!
