It is going to be a party! Blues, big band, jazz, soul, funk, talks and culinary delights: the 12th International NYC Music Marathon promises a colorful program again.
Even the opening night will be exciting. On August 9th everything revolves around literature, music and the superhero “Onkel Franz” by Klaus Ranzenberger. Initiator Gernot Bernroider plays with his international ensemble “Culturessence”, the Gasthaus Badhaus serves dishes, artist Sabine Nessling shows some “superheroes” from the district and wave 1 presenter Antonia Alexa Georgiew talks about herself.
But the following days will also be varied. Two-time European Blues Awards winners from Denmark, The Blues Overdrive, perform at the Blues Power Night on August 10th, followed by classical big band music the night after when the Ferry Ilg Big Band show their skills.
At the Family Music Day, this year on Saturday morning, August 12, musical star Gernot Kranner will be there with his children’s interactive musical, the “Bremer Stadtmusikanten”. The concert in the morning will be played this year by the Vöcklabruck duo Andyman on Sunday, August 13, from 11 a.m.
Also outstanding is the jazz, funk and soul night on Saturday, August 12th, with Hubert Gredler, Chanda Rule, Mickylee and the organ band led by Simon Plötzeneder. All-day music workshops for jazz and popular music beginners and advanced students should not be missing this year either.
