Get Ready for a Dazzling July 4th with Macy’s Fireworks Show and Where to Watch

Approximately 60,000 projectiles and effects from various barges will be enjoyed on July 4, Independence Day, at the 47th Macy’s Fireworks Show. As is tradition, you can witness the show in the East River.

Will Coss, executive producer of Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks, said in a press release that the big event will last 25 minutes.

Kicking off at 9:25 p.m. with the signature fireworks salute, it will proceed to wow viewers with dazzling projectiles in the New York sky.

“We are ready to deliver a jaw-dropping, high-flying fireworks display that will fill the night sky with color, light, shape and thunderous sound.”Will Cross said.

How to watch the Macy’s fireworks on the 4th of July

It is expected that Macy’s will soon offer the complete information on the best places to see the fireworks, supervised and managed by the New York Police. However, for some years, These are the most recommended sites:

  • El FDR Drive en Manhattan, en East 42nd Street, East 34th Street y East 23rd Street
  • Transmitter Park, Bushwick Inlet Park y Marsha P. Johnson State Park, en Brooklyn
  • Gantry Plaza State Park on Long Island.

Also remember that if you want to watch the fireworks from home, there will be national broadcasts dedicated exclusively to the 4th of July event. There is no excuse, you can’t miss them.
