Badung, CNN Indonesia

The government will immediately implement the system QR code for purchase bulk cooking oil. This is to improve the governance of cooking oil distribution and prevent future shortages.

Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Panjaitan revealed that the government is developing a system similar to the PeduliLindung application for purchasing cooking oil with the ongoing immigration of the Bulk Cooking Oil Information System (Simirah) 1.0 to 2.0 program.

“Controlling the purchase of cooking oil will also use an application (such as) PeduliLindung through a QR code scan with the adjustments that have been made. The QR code, I also reported last night we will start right away,” said Luhut during a Business Matching press conference in the context of Acceleration of Exports of CPO and Cooking Oil, in Kuta, Badung Regency, Bali, Friday (10/6).

Luhut explained all business actors Crude Palm Oil (CPO), must be registered in the Simirah system. Later, this system will become superapps to address the management of cooking oil from upstream and downstream.

With the Simirah system, the government hopes that distribution channels can run normally and the price of bulk cooking oil that has been going on can continue to reach a price of Rp. 14 thousand per liter. The reason is, according to reports, in some areas the price of bulk cooking oil is above Rp. 14 thousand per liter.

“Now there are many areas that continue to decline and indeed, the National Police Chief has just said there are still prices at Rp. 16 thousand and Rp. 17 thousand, but there are few and now there are many, Rp. 14 thousand and Rp.

According to Luhut, the various policies that have been made by the government today certainly cannot please all parties. However, this is to balance CPO and cooking oil according to the government’s target.

“The various government policies that have been made today certainly cannot please all parties. We will continue to try, evaluate and perfect this policy so that it can run as well as possible,” he said.

Luhut also ensured that the government immediately conducts audits, especially for companies that do not support and play a role in the Simirah program.

“We have alreadypinpoint some companies that look playful. I have asked and have signed the letter. I have given it to BPKP (Financial and Development Supervisory Agency) and BPKP has received it and they have started working in the near future,” he said.
