The news is of the last hour. Unfortunately the Lombard presenter has abandoned us. Viewers in utter shock.
Gerry Scotti is undoubtedly one of the most esteemed and appreciated presenters by the Italian public. A career, his, which began in Radio, when in the 70s arrives at Radio Hinterland Milano2 and then moves on to Radio Milano International.
In the early 80s however, thanks to the help of Claudio Cecchetto arrives at Radio Deejay and it is the latter that allows him to debut on the small screen.
In 1983 he then began his career as a television presenter and he hasn’t stopped since. During the years has conducted many successful programs and so far it can boast over 8,000 episodes made on the Mediaset Networks. Quite an achievement for a presenter of his caliber.
Among his broadcasts we remember Passaparola, Who wants to be a millionaire, Striscia la Notizia, Il Quizzone, Festivalbar, Do you know the latest?, Peperissima la Corrida, The Show of records, Free Fall, Io Canto and The Wall.
The passing of the baton
Everything will change from January 2023. This is what was decided by Mediaset, which has changed the programming of some programs starting next year. Among these there is also Caduta Libera, conducted, as previously mentioned, by Gerry Scotti himself. The show debuted in 2015but over the years it has been increasingly successful. Just consider that in the last month the repeat bets have reached more than 20% sharewith around 3.5 million viewers who tuned into Canale 5 in this time slot.
However, from January the latter will be replaced by Avanti another, led by Paolo Bonolis, with the participation of his unfailing workmate, Luca Laurenti. This show, on the other hand, aired for the first time more than 10 years ago and is now in its eleventh edition. So from January it will be Bonolis with his Avanti another to collide with the Legacy, presented by Flavio Insinna, who took over the reins of the program from Carlo Conti, when in 2018 he decided to leave the show.
There are also other changes ahead on the Mediaset schedule. After the Christmas break, two other flagship programs of Canale 5 will return, Amici, hosted as always by Maria De Filippi, and Verissimo. In fact, reruns of some of the most beautiful and exciting interviews made by Silvia Toffanin have been broadcast recently. Two broadcasts that are getting excellent ratings, with an average of around 20% share.
