Germany won against Bosnia and Herzegovina thanks to two goals from Undav

Germany won against Bosnia and Herzegovina in the same Nations League group as the Netherlands. In Zenica, Deniz Undav was convincing with two goals: 1-2.

On Monday, Germany, the leader in group 3 after three games, will play against the Netherlands in Munich.

Germany were without less than seven players due to injuries. Kai Havertz, Jamal Musiala, Niclas Füllkrug and Marc-André ter Stegen, among others, were not there. That is why the national coach Julian Nagelsmann gave a starting place to the first striker Tim Kleindienst, a 29-year-old striker from Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Bosnia and Herzegovina lost to the Netherlands in the previous international match and drew 0-0 with Hungary. Ajax player Benjamin Tahirovic started on the bench against the Germans.

His players had little to say against Germany, who almost always had the ball. The score was 0-1 in the thirtieth minute, when Florian Wirtz expertly passed the ball back to Deniz Undav, who just tapped home.

This handy attacker from Stuttgart also scored the second German goal minutes later, on a pass from Maximilian Mittelstädt. Undav also scored against the Dutch team in September.

Even after the break, Germany had nothing to fear from their homeland. They passed the ball around in a relaxed manner. Around the sixth minute, two goals from Germany (Undav and substitute Angelo Stiller scoring) were disallowed for offside.

So the Germans fell asleep a little, without deciding the game. Bosnia striker Edin Dzeko, always good for a good move, took advantage of this. In the seventh minute he headed in the 1-2 from a corner taken by substitute Tahirovic.

This brought some tension back into the game, although Germany remained the better team even after conceding the goal. Bosnia tried, worked hard, but never came close to equalizing.
