BERLIN (Reuters) – The business climate in Germany improved in January for the first time in seven months thanks to an easing of tensions in supply chains, the monthly survey by the research institute showed on Tuesday economic Ifo.

The business climate index rebounded to 95.7 from a (revised) 94.8 in December as economists and analysts polled by Reuters on average had expected a figure of 94.7.

The component of business leaders’ judgment of their current business conditions fell to 96.1 from 96.9, but that measuring changes in their expectations rose to 95.2 from 92.7.
