Germany Threatened With Massive Riots Due to Rising Food and Energy Prices

BERLINGermany’s federal and regional governments are preparing for a wave of protests that may occur this fall or winter.

The announcement was made by state-funded broadcasters ARD and RBB this week.

“Cabinet Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz is concerned that rising food and energy prices could lead to social unrest and be exploited by various radical movements,” the outlet said.

According to the media, the protests may be similar to those experienced by Germany during the Covid-19 pandemic, when the government faced resistance to its lockdown and vaccination policies.
