And if he can’t work from home, the local authorities pay him his salary, in full (at least for the first six weeks, but the quarantine doesn’t last longer anyway).
Payments will stop by the end of October at the latest
In the state of Baden-Württemberg of these payments it was already over, with Rhineland-Palatinate and North Rhine-Westphalia announcing their intention to take the step in October, and a number of other provinces declaring the same intentions. Health Minister Jens Spahn also backed the idea ten days ago, given that it only burdens taxpayers, and “why pay if someone hasn’t taken advantage of free immunization, even though they could.”
