Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as gains in the , , and sectors propelled shares higher .
At the close in Frankfurt, Germany, it rose 0.46%, while the index lost 0.24%, and it gained 0.64%.
The best performers of the session were Covestro AG (ETR:), which rose 3.80% or 1.77 points to trade at 48.32 at the close. Meanwhile, Rheinmetall AG (ETR:) was up 1.81% or 4.70 points to end at 264.80 and SAP AG (ETR:) was up 1.55% or 1.94 points to 127.14 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Zalando SE (ETR:), which fell 1.72% or 0.49 points to trade at 27.94 at the close. Commerzbank AG (ETR:) declined 1.36% or 0.14 points to end at 10.15 and Fresenius AG (ETR:) was down 0.90% or 0.27 points to 29.87 at the close.
The top performers on the MDAX were Bechtle AG (ETR: ), which rose 4.45% to end at 44.62, Talanx (ETR: ), which was up 2.49% at the close at 59.60 and Gerresheimer AG (ETR: ), which rose 2.25%, closing at 117.90.
The worst performers were TAG Immobilien AG (ETR: ) which was down 6.15% to 9.77 in late trade, Fresenius Medical Care (ETR: ) which was down 5.09% to settle at 45.15 and Nordex SE (ETR: ) which was down 3.17%, closing at 11.45.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Bechtle AG (ETR: ), which rose 4.45% to end at 44.62, ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR: ), which was up 4.02% to settle at 7.34 and Verbio Vereinigte Bioenergie AG (ETR 🙂 Up 3.46% to close at 44.61.
The worst performers were Nagarro SE (ETR:) which was down 6.87% to 75.20 in late trade, Nordex SE (ETR:) which lost 3.17% to settle at 11.45 and Carl Zeiss Medi (ETR:) which was down 1.83% The closing price was 93.10.
On the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, 350 stocks rose, outnumbering the number of stocks that closed down—310, while 82 stocks remained unchanged, basically flat.
Shares in Talanx (ETR:) rose to all time highs; up 2.49% or 1.45 to 59.60 at the close. Shares in Gerresheimer AG (ETR:) rose to all time highs; up 2.25% or 2.60 to 117.90 at the close. Shares in Nagarro SE (ETR:) fell to 1-year lows; losing 6.87% or 5.55 to 75.20 at the close. Shares in Carl Zeiss Medi (ETR:) fell to 1-year lows; falling 1.83% or 1.74 to 93.10 at the close.
A measure of implied volatility for DAX 30 options fell 2.75 percent to 17.32.
Gold futures options for December delivery fell 0.12%, or 2.25 points, to $1,944.35. For the rest of the futures, the WTI crude oil futures contract for September delivery fell 0.93% (0.77 points) to $82.42, while the October London Brent crude oil futures contract fell 0.79% (0.69) to trade at $86.12.
EUR/USD did not rise or fall 0.16%, and the exchange rate was 1.09; at the same time, EUR/GBP was basically flat at 0.23%, with a quotation of 0.86.
U.S. dollar index futures rose 0.17% to 102.86.
