Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, Germany, it fell 0.86% to hit a new 1-month low, while the index lost 0.82%, and the index fell 0.74%.
The best performers of the session were Sartorius AG Vz (ETR:), which rose 1.15% or 4.20 points to trade at 369.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Adidas (ETR:) added 0.86% or 1.54 points to end at 179.74 and HeidelbergCement (ETR:) was up 0.68% or 0.52 points to 76.64 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were E.ON SE (ETR:), which fell 2.06% or 0.23 points to trade at 10.96 at the close. Siemens Energy AG (ETR:) declined 2.01% or 0.28 points to end at 13.42 and Vonovia SE (ETR:) was down 1.97% or 0.41 points to 20.41 at the close.
The top performers on the MidCap Index (MDAX: ) were TAG Immobilien AG (ETR: ), which rose 3.17% to end at 10.08, Thyssenkrupp (ETR: ), which was up 1.24% at the close at 7.00 ; Redcare Pharmacy NV (ETR:) rose 0.93% to trade at 114.55 at the close.
The worst performers of the session were Befesa SA (ETR:) which was down 4.87% to 33.60 in late trade, Encavis AG (ETR:) which lost 3.93% to settle at 13.32 and Telefonica Deutschland Holding AG (ETR:) which was down 3.86% , closing at 1.73.
The top performers on the Technology Index (TecDAX: ) were Nagarro SE (ETR: ), which rose 1.80% to end at 76.55, Sartorius AG Vz (ETR: ), which was up 1.15% at the close at 369.90 and ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR: ) rose 1.14 percent to close at 7.43.
The worst performers of the session were Eckert & Ziegler Bebig (ETR: ) which was down 4.68% to 32.58 in late trade, Telefonica Deutschland Holding AG (ETR: ) which was down 3.86% to settle at 1.73 and SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR: ) fell 2.64% to close at 75.55.
492 stocks on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange fell, and the number exceeded the number of stocks that closed higher – 165. At the same time, 87 stocks did not rise or fall, basically flat.

Implied volatility, a measure of DAX 30 options, rose 4.16 percent to 18.04.
Gold futures for December options fell 0.45%, or 8.75 points, to $1,935.25. For the rest of the futures, the WTI crude oil futures contract for September delivery fell 2.17% (1.79 points), quoted at $80.72, while the October London Brent crude oil futures contract fell 1.86% (1.60), trading at $84.61.
EUR/USD did not rise or fall by 0.12%, and the exchange rate was 1.09; at the same time, EUR/GBP was basically flat by 0.16%, and the quotation was 0.86.
U.S. dollar index futures were down 0.07% at 102.99.
