Germany: SPD first in Brandenburg – “Soltz’s party won, chancellor lost” – 2024-09-25 06:03:43

The SPD (Social Democratic Party) of Olaf Solz won the election in Brandenburgwith percentage 30,9% (+4.7 from 2019), leaving the far-right AfD in second place with 29,2% (+5,7).

The newly established “Zara Wagenknecht Alliance” (BSW) took third place with 13,5%while the Christian Democratic Party (CDU) came fourth with 12,1% (-3,5).

These four parties secure their entry into the local parliament.

The Greens with 4,1% (-6,7) and h Left with 3% (-7.7) they are left out of parliament, as are Liberals (FDP), which are even counted among the “other parties”.
