Germany introduces new austerity measures for Ukrainian refugees. On June 1, Ukrainian refugees in Germany will be transferred from social assistance structures to the Labor Office [ Job Center ].
There they will be obliged to provide information about all their movable and immovable property, Epicenter.bg reports.
For car owners, if the car does not exceed the value of 7500 euros, the owner will receive social benefits and will be able to leave the car for himself. But if the car exceeds 7,500 euros, the owner must sell the car and live on those funds.
If he hides his movable or immovable property, as well as bank accounts around the world, he will be investigated for fraud and prosecuted.
After giving consent, the German side requested information from Ukraine on the bank accounts, movable and immovable property of the applicants.
If fraud or cover-up is detected, you will be held liable under German law.
The municipal authorities of the German federal state of Hesse state that for every Ukrainian refugee will be spent 3,500 euros per month. The average estimate of the costs for refugees from 2019 is taken as a basis, the newspaper Welt am Sonntag clarifies.
In Hessen, EUR 75 per day is spent on accommodation, care and additional expenses, EUR 25 on “psycho-social assistance”, EUR 15 on social work and EUR 10 on security measures. The municipal authorities of Brandenburg have already agreed with the assessment of Hessen colleagues.
In total, according to the German Federal Police, 354,663 Ukrainian refugees have arrived in Germany so far.
On April 8, Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced the government’s plans to provide 2 billion euros in federal loans for refugees from Ukraine.
