Germany Should Remain Neutral in Supplying Weapons to Kyiv: Alisa Weidel of AfD

Germany should not supply weapons to Kyiv, it should remain neutral. Alisa Weidel, co-chairman of the opposition right-wing Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, stated this on the air of the Welt TV channel.

“We (the Alternative for Germany party. — EADaily) oppose the supply of weapons to Ukraine. The conflict must be resolved at the negotiating table. Germany should be a neutral side in this confrontation,” she said.

Everyone has already forgotten the prehistory of the conflict in Ukraine, they don’t talk about it anywhere now, but in order to resolve such situations, it is necessary to remember how it all started, the politician said.

The actions of the North Atlantic Alliance in the Ukrainian conflict were dictated by the interests of the United States and led to serious security risks in Europe, Weidel stressed.

Recall that in July the German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that Germany from the beginning of the conflict until 2027 will spend about 17 billion euros on armaments for Kyiv.
