Germany is working towards the European Championship with a lot of self-confidence. The last game before the final tournament was won convincingly. For opponent Latvia it was a painful evening: 7-1.
The first half of Germany – Latvia was almost perfect for The team. Eredivisie well-known Robin Gosens gave his business card and made the 1-0 after just under twenty minutes, followed by a beautiful goal from Ilkay Gündögan. Thomas Müller’s 3-0 after 27 minutes confirmed that it would be a brilliant evening for Germany.
The venom was in his tail. Latvia’s own goal made it 4-0, but Serge Gnabry’s 5-0 was of absolute beauty. That was mainly due to the assist of defender Mats Hummels, who gave the ball deep to Gnabry with the outside right. The finishing was also very noteworthy.
After the break, national coach Joachim Löw brought in players such as Leroy Sané and Timo Werner. The 5-0 was a special boost for Werner, who is so difficult to score and struggles to convince the Chelsea supporters. It turned out to be a painful evening for Latvia. Germany’s hunger was satisfied for a while, but Sané still scored a goal: 6-0. Latvia did something in return via Aleksejs Saveljevs, but again conceded a goal via Thomas Müller.
Germany will play against France, Portugal and Hungary at the European Championship.
Wow, wow, WOW
It is now becoming very humiliating for Latvia. Gnabry makes it 5-0 just before halftime, but what about the assist from Mats Hummels ????????#ZiggoSport #Football #GermanyLatvia pic.twitter.com/P71MHb7ADR
