In the German city of Essen, a senior citizen (81) drove her car into a group of people at a train station and in the process seriously injured twelve people. Three of the injured were in mortal danger, the police said in the metropolis of the German Ruhr area in the evening.

Four people were seriously injured, five others only slightly, it was said. Passengers who want to get on or off the train must enter a lane at the stop.
