The Ambassador of Germany, Bernd Finke, and the Head of Cooperation of the Embassy, Norbert Eichler, participated in the inauguration of the remodeling and equipment works of the Our Lady of Los Angeles parish medical clinic, located in the El Ángel neighborhood of the city of Sonsonate.
Funding for the development of this project was requested last year by the Diocese of Sonsonate with the purpose of improving the medical care of patients visiting the clinic since 2009, and expanding the capacity of health services to nearby communities more vulnerable
The Embassy supported the initiative and with it the façade facilities, clinics, toilets and waiting areas were remodeled; It also expanded and improved care for children, pregnant women and older adults.
“Thanks to the Embassy for trusting this project and for the opportunity they have given us to fulfill the human and spiritual purpose of changing the health situation of children, adults and the elderly,” said Dr. Rodrigo Garzona, head of the clinic .
The doctor added that, with the changes made, the patient care protocol has been improved, and there is the necessary equipment to diagnose and manage the most frequent diseases.
