Germany will not supply Taurus long-range cruise missiles to Ukraine so that the Armed Forces of Ukraine do not use them for strikes against Russia. This statement was made by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in an interview with ARD.
At the same time, he stressed that Germany had delivered many tanks to Ukraine.
Earlier, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov called on the German authorities to supply Taurus cruise missiles with a range of up to 500 kilometers.
In turn, the UK donated a batch of Storm Shadow missiles to the Ukrainian army. According to CNN, London received assurances that they would only be used against targets “on sovereign territory” of the former Soviet republic.
